We had water leaking from the pipes leading to our water heater expansion tank. The water heater was fairly new when we bought our place, but is now over 11yrs old. The plumber explained that the expansion tank was improperly installed with galvanized steel that had corroded. I appreciate that he explained that the connection to the water heater could break when he removed the old pipe. Fortunately, he was very careful, and our water heater will hopefully last a few more years. He gave me a verbal bid for materials and labor together. The project didn't actually take very long. I would have preferred an itemized estimate, but overall I'm quite happy with the work.

When I had concerns about our heatpump unit, I left a message on Saturday and we had a return call promptly at opening hours on Monday (thank you, Amy!). We have a contract with Atlantic and they have been great. They call to remind us when it is time for our free checkup for the system and make it an easy experience to settle a date. What impresses me most is the quality of the techs that come our place. Several different people have serviced our unit and they have all been friendly, polite, respectful of our house and have provided a full recap of what they found, if anything, before they leave. Later we receive a written copy of what they told us. Can't recommend these guys more highly.
